Dan. J.W. Miller, 81, of Millersburg, died Feb. 20, 2011, at his home.

Dan was born March 1, 1929, in Wayne County, to the late John W. and Sarah Miller.

Surviving are his wife, Susie M. Troyer, whom he married Nov. 9, 1950; children, Roman D.J. (Ida) Miller of Baltic, Anna (Robert S.) Miller of Navarre, Barbara (Aden M.C.) Yoder of Fresno, Lizzie (Alvin V.) Hershberger of Dundee, Roy (Mary) Miller of Millersburg, and Johnny (Mary) Miller of the home; 38 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara (Roman N.) Miller of Komoka, Miss., Susie Wengerd of Mt. Gilead, Abe J. (Ella) Miller of Apple Creek, and Sarah (Albert S.) Weaver and John J.W. (Katie) Miller, both of Fredericksburg.

He was preceded in death by a son, David; an infant son; a granddaughter, Sarah; brothers, Emanuel and Roman; and brother-in-law, Ben V. Wengerd.

Services will be held Feb. 23, at 9 a.m., at the residence, with Bishop Jerry Mast officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Mechanic Township. Friends may call anytime at the residence.
