Students attending high schools in Carroll, Holmes, Stark, Tuscarawas and Wayne counties were eligible to apply. The scholarship recipients were chosen from a pool of 187 applicants, who submitted an essay about why they believe themselves to be a team player. Winners were chosen based on their essay, school and community involvement throughout their high school career, and need for financial assistance. All applicants were required to be pursuing a two- or four-year degree at an accredited school and have a 2.5 or greater GPA.
