Jonas was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Wayne County, to the late Andy C. and Anna Yoder. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was a farmer and buggy maker for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Saloma E. Miller, whom he married Nov. 27, 1956; sons, Raymond (Mary) Yoder of Fredericksburg, Jacob (Ada) Yoder of Danville, Emanuel (Susan) Yoder of Apple Creek, John (Mattie) Yoder of the home, Andy (Laura) Yoder of Apple Creek, Levi (Anna) Yoder of Fredericksburg, and Jonas J. (Ada) Yoder Jr. of Millersburg; 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; his twin brother, Jacob (Jemima) Yoder of Dundee; and sisters, Esther (Eli) Yoder of Stuarts Draft, Va., Fannie (Atlee) Raber of Apple Creek, and Katie Ann Yoder of Dundee.
He was preceded in death by three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Services will be held August 1, at 9:30 a.m., at the family home, with Minister Christopher Miller officiating. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime.
