Special drawing to be held for waterfowl hunting opportunities at Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area

The Ohio Division of Wildlife will hold a public drawing for controlled waterfowl daily hunting permits on Thursday, Sept. 22, for portions of the Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area. The drawing will be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds pavilion in Wooster.

Hunters are encouraged to arrive no later than 6 p.m. to register for the drawing, which will take place promptly at 6:30 p.m. To register, each hunter must present a 2011-12 Ohio hunting license.

Hunters will be selected to hunt one of 16 specific hunting units for each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday during the first two weeks of the 2011 waterfowl hunting season.

The drawing will offer daily permits to hunt waterfowl on selected units in the Wright, Moore, and Macko marshes. Other portions of the Killbuck Marsh will remain open as in past years for public hunting during the 2011-2012 waterfowl season.

For more information, contact Wildlife District 3 at 330-644-2293. View, download, and print a free map of the Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area at http://www.wildohio.com.
