Ethel Kaser

Ethel Mae Kaser, 102, of Wooster, died August 27, 2011, at her home.

Ethel was born June 10, 1909, in Wooster, the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian Leiner, and married Gernard E. Kaser on Nov. 23, 1932. He died in 1978.

She was a graduate of Wooster High School and had been a teller at the former Citizens Bank and Bank One for 50 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was very active at the Wooster Community Center. She enjoyed playing cards.

Surviving are daughters, Sally Schofield of San Diego, Calif., and Susan E. Work of Cygnet; grandchildren, Bonnie Diaz, Brad Slabaugh, Kim Dutt, and Chad Work; three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Boardner of Wooster.

Services will be held Sept. 1, at 11 a.m., at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, with Rev. Kevin Phipps officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery. Friends will be received one hour prior to services.
