Another group earlier this year sold $1,600 in tickets. The winner of the spree collected $489 in groceries and the groups proceeds were $1,112.
Jackie Kerby, Jackson store manager, said: “With our help, this is an easy fundraiser for nonprofit organizations in communities surrounding Buehler’s stores. Buehler’s is proud to support local nonprofit organizations in their efforts to support the community.”
After choosing a drawing date, Buehler’s will provide your nonprofit organization with 500 shopping spree tickets, which you sell for any price you choose. The shopping spree your organization sells is 90 seconds in length - your organization is responsible for the retail amount of groceries obtained by the winning shopper (usually $300-$500). The winning shopper can pick up to two of any one item. The contest excludes tobacco and alcohol products. There will be only one winner/participant per shopping spree event.
Your organization keeps the remainder of the profit from the ticket sales.
