Jeanette was born August 24, 1926, in Glenmont, to the late George Albert and Maude Wilson. She worked at the aircraft plant in Millersburg during the war and at Neikirk’s 5 & 10 Store, Millersburg. From 1971-76, she was employed at Neikirk’s, Shreve. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, sewing, doing laundry, four-wheeling, dunebuggies, and her grandchildren. Jeanette simply enjoyed life.
Surviving are children, Phyllis Hinton (life partner, Mark Hill) of Wooster, Jim (Ginny) Spitler and Diana (Rick) Fortune, both of Shreve, and Cheryl (Jim) Austin of Big Prairie; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Louise Wilson of Glenmont.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Spitler, whom she married July 23, 1946; son, Jerry Spitler; son-in-law, Carlos Hinton; 11 sisters; and three brothers.
Services will be held Oct. 5, at 11 a.m., at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Rev. Joanna Lance officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Glenmont. Friends may call Oct. 4, from 6-8 p.m.
