Indian trade beads

These beautiful beads were traded to the Indians for beaver pelts. These beads were a status symbol and worn proudly by the women and men of the tribe. They were made of colorful glass, some were also a dull clay. I was able to purchase four sets and gave a set to my wife and daughter - this keeps me out of the doghouse for a while.
