Caleb James Barner, 16, of Burbank, died Oct. 14, 2011, in an accident at his home.

Caleb was born Nov. 3, 1994, in Wooster, to Robert J. Jr. and Teresa A. Barner. He lived in Burbank all his life and attended Norwayne High School, where he was a scholar/honor student. He was a cross-country runner, achieving the fastest Norwayne High School boys’ time since 2003. Caleb was an all-around great athlete with a great love for running. He had a promising future in pharmacology with many other plans and goals.

He was beloved by all who knew him and always carried a smile.

Caleb is survived by his brother, Ryan C. Barner; sister, Breannon S. Barner; sister/niece, Mariana L. Kash; and his mother, Teresa A. Barner, all of Burbank.

He was preceded in death by his loving and caring sister, Alicia M. Barner; father, Robert J. Barner Jr.; maternal grandmother, Barbara R. Howell; and paternal grandfather, Robert J. Barner Sr.

Caleb was a content and beautiful person. There are no words to express the value of his life to his family, who will always be missing him.

There will be no services. Caleb will be cremated and returned to be with his family. Friends may send their condolences to his home address.
