To the Editor:
I am writing to offer my endorsement for Dave Todaro, candidate for the office of Judge of the Wayne County Municipal Court.
Dave was born and raised in Wayne County. He graduated from Triway High School. He then attended Kent State University, where he earned a degree in accounting. He spent the next 17 years in business, during which time he obtained a master’s in business from Cleveland State University and a law degree from Cleveland Marshall School of Law. In 2003, he opened up his law office in Wooster where he engages in the general practice of law.
During his final year of law school, he was selected to work as a legal intern in the office of the Canton City Prosecutor, where he handled over 200 criminal cases. Most of what he did during his legal internship is precisely the sort of legal work that comes before the Wayne County Municipal Court. Since opening his practice he has engaged in a variety of trial-related work, including personal injury and wrongful death cases, as well as criminal defense work.
Apart from his professional life, David and his wife, Lisa, are the parents of six children and four grandchildren. David is active in the community. Dave is a member of Wooster Exchange Club, Wooster area Chamber of Commerce, Wayne County Farm Bureau, and is a Wooster Area YMCA board member.
I believe that there are many reasons why voters should elect him as their next municipal court judge:
- He is very familiar with both criminal and civil litigation...including violations of local ordinances, motor vehicle violations and financial claims.
- He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in the Wayne County courts.
- He believes in the importance of a well-informed and independent judiciary.
- He is committed to fairness and impartiality in the administration of justice.
- He will be a consistent and fair judge, just like the people of Wayne County.
- Dave Todaro is a no-nonsense legal professional that can be counted on to make the right decisions to make our community safe. He has the experience and integrity to be fair in all cases but tough on those who threaten our community.
On Election Day, Nov. 8, 2011, I urge you to vote David M. Todaro for Wayne County Municipal Court Judge.
