As another high school football season came to a close, the group that shares Follis Field with the Wooster High School football team celebrated another successful season.

Under the direction of Dan Adams, assisted by Diane Adams, Doug Bennett, Dennis Bartelheim, Tom Long, majorette advisor Dianna Pindell, flag corps advisor Jennifer Burnham and field announcer Terry Gardner, the band presented selections from its pregame, halftime and post-game shows from the 2011 football season to an enthusiastic crowd at the Wooster High School Performing Arts Center Oct. 25 during the band’s annual Marching Band Concert.

The band, which began preparations for marching season in July, performed a wide variety of music, ranging from the theme from the Hollywood blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean and the pop hit Don’t Stop Believin’ to arrangements of Ohio State University classics including Across the Field and French National Defile.

Even though football season is over the band won’t be hanging up their uniforms for long.

In just a few months the instrumental music department will begin preparations for performances by the marching band and orchestra at Disney World in Florida over spring break.
