Wayne County Women’s Network members and guests enjoyed being pampered at a Business After Hours held at White Jewelers. Hosts Heather and Andy Kobilarcsik and their staff cleaned everyone’s jewelry, and provided drinks and appetizers as well as a demonstration of their brand new 3D technology computerized design system (the only one north of Columbus). Using 3D design software, one can virtually customize, and view on a TV screen, every detail of the jewelry, from stone size, shape, color and design, to create a one-of-a-kind piece. “It’s a great opportunity to reuse, recycle, and restyle jewelry you don’t wear anymore,” Heather suggested. “At our store you don’t just browse for jewelry – you help create it – and the design session is free.”
White Jewelers has been in Heather’s family for 83 years, opened by her grandfather who was a watchmaker. Heather bought the business from her mother in 1992 and when the Wooster Theatre was torn down in 1999 she seized the opportunity for store expansion.
The public is always welcome to any upcoming Wayne County Women’s Network activities. Dec. 1 hosts a luncheon at the Wooster Inn featuring Cheryl Davis, owner of Today’s Kitchen; Dec. 5 Jacquie Gable, owner of Lincoln Interiors, will host a cookie exchange; and Dec. 13 is the annual Christmas Teddy Bear donation after-hours at Montavinos.
