Dorothy was born April 13, 1930, near Kidron, to the late Homer and Bertha Steiner, and married Calvin Miller on June 20, 1970. He survives.
She was a member of Kidron Mennonite Church, where she looked forward to the monthly sewing and knotting of comforters. She is remembered by her many nieces and nephews for her love for Calvin and her love for each of them. She enjoyed knitting, painting, playing piano, making ground cherry pies, and growing large sweet potatoes. She always looked forward to participating in family reunions.
In addition to her husband, Calvin, Dorothy is survived by siblings, Viola Kuhns of Goshen, Ind., George Steiner of Wooster, Marion (Ellen) Steiner of Temperance, Mich., Roy (Vesta) Steiner of Mission, Texas, Kenneth (Mae) Steiner of Orrville, Norma (James) Eberly of Jeromesville, and Clayton (Ruth) Steiner of Dalton; 98 nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and -nephews.
Services were held Nov. 19, at Kidron Mennonite Church, with Pastors Thomas Dunn, Lydell Steiner, and Beau Hummel officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
