The artisan members at Local Roots have created and crafted many new gift items for your enjoyment, from beautifully turned bowls made from local wood to soft colorful woven purses, fun felted holiday decorations, and a hat for everyone in the family. You can even wrap your gift in a handmade fabric shopping tote and add a card made from hand-crafted paper or featuring beautiful photography.
In addition to the usual excitement found on Artisan Days, Local Roots is pleased to welcome Marilou Suszko, noted Ohio journalist and cookbook author. She will have copies of her new book, The Locavore’s Kitchen, available for signing and purchase. Whether you’re new to local foods or an experienced seasonal cook, this new cookbook offers an excellent overview of the many delicious seasonal foods you can find at Local Roots.
Remember, Local Roots will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26 for the holiday. The market will reopen at the normal time on Tuesday, Dec. 27. The market will be open Monday, Jan. 2.
