In short, the answer is yes! All it takes is a few good habits. Traditional diets have the ability to take weight off but they have many shortcomings.

First, if we are following a strictly regimented diet, we can feel deprived. Then, if we “mess up,” we feel guilty! It can be a vicious never-ending cycle. With traditional diets, we must count our calories, avoid certain food groups, or buy expensive diet foods. We might lose weight initially but we have to ask ourselves a very important question. Is this something I can follow the rest of my life? The answer to that question, most of the time, is no. We need to learn to get back to the basics, eat real food, and enjoy our lives without feeling like we are dieting.

Zonya Foco, also known as America’s Nutrition Leader, has created DIET FREE. The nine week program consists of eight habits that you focus on one at a time. Zonya believes that diets don’t work and that there is power in just one good habit. Adapted one at a time, they create habits that, over time, seem like second nature so naturally you will eat the right food in the right amount without feeling deprived, eat the right amount of calories and nutrients without tedious measuring and counting, and discover that exercise becomes what you want to do, not what you have to do. Mastering these habits is the true key to success. Weight loss, lower cholesterol, lower blood pressure, and becoming more energetic will all follow naturally. HealthPoint’s Health and Wellness is currently offering this program to members as well as non-members and also includes access to a Wellness Coach and a Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach to help you along the way.
