Bettye Jo Mastrine
Bettye Jo Mastrine, 62, of Apple Creek, died unexpectedly Jan. 15, 2012, at her home.
Bettye Jo was born Dec. 10, 1949, in Boone, N.C., to the late Pearl Maggi. She worked at The College of Wooster for 32 years, the last 27 years as the executive assistant to the president. She was an avid supporter of The College of Wooster athletics and Waynedale High School athletics and was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Apple Creek.
Bettye Jo is survived by her children, Erich (Heather) Riebe of Apple Creek, Beau (Holly) Mastrine of Wooster, and Seth Mastrine of Columbus; and grandchildren, Brevin and Brooklyn Riebe and Jax and Tripp Mastrine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Mastrine.
Following her wishes, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Jan. 22, at 2 p.m., at McGaw Chapel, Wooster, with Revs. Candace Thomas and Linda Morgan-Clement officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following services.
Spidell Funeral Home, Mt. Eaton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
