To the Editor:

On March 6 we the voters will be voting for a new Wayne County Sheriff. We have known Captain Hardman for several years. His father served as our pastor for many years and Charlie and his family have always been active in our church. He is known as someone who is willing to help with any need that arises. Wayne County needs a sheriff that has a proven record of leadership and the ability to work with others. Charlie Hardman’s career in law enforcement has been one that started as a volunteer. He spent nine years working with the Medway Drug Enforcement Agency. During that time he worked all types of drug investigations that resulted in hundreds of offenders being convicted of trafficking in drugs. One case involved a wire tap case that resulted in over 60 drug dealers being arrested and convicted on a host of state and federal charges. Charlie was selected to attend the FBI National Academy for an intense 11-week training program that less than one percent of law enforcement officers are selected to attend. He was elected to serve as the 2012 president of the Ohio Chapter of the FBI National Academy Association. Captain Hardman also received extensive training from the DEA, Ohio Attorney General, Ohio Auditor of State, Institute of Police Technology and Management, MAGLOCEN and is certified to teach in the Basic Peace Officers Academy. He has been recognized by superiors who continued to promote him to higher positions to the level he serves today. Charlie has served the community in many positions for several years. As a leader in our church he is recognized for his ability to get things accomplished. He has never been one to boast of his accomplishments, rather he leads by example. We attended a recent debate in support of Captain Hardman and saw firsthand his knowledge, understanding, experience, and ability to answer questions which any candidate for sheriff should know. We would recommend that you go to www.hardmanforsheriff.com and listen very carefully to the answers of both candidates at that debate. After watching this we are confident that you will join us in voting for Captain Charlie Hardman for Sheriff of Wayne County on March 6.
