Andy J.C. Miller, 87, of Fredericksburg, died March 2, 2012, at his home, following an extended illness.

Andy was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Holmes County, to the late Joe C.D. and Emma C. Miller, and married Elizabeth Troyer on Feb. 10, 1948. She survives. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

In addition to his wife, Andy is survived by children, Joe (Ella) Miller of Apple Creek, Ada (Tom) Lendon of Big Prairie, Emma (Henry) Miller of Walhonding, Rachel Miller of the home, Dan (Katie) Miller of Galapolis, and Christ (Nettie) Miller of Fredericksburg; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Miller of Fredericktown; son-in-law, Levi Schwartz of Mt. Gilead; 64 grandchildren; 156 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sarah Raber of Walhonding, Anna Hershberger of Fredericktown, Mattie (Aden) Yoder of Westby, Wis., and Ada (Roman) Yoder of Fredericksburg; brothers, Neal (Mattie) Miller, Ammon (Lydia) Miller, and Abe Miller, all of Fredericksburg; and sisters-in-law, Sarah Miller and Mattie Miller, both of Fredericksburg.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ben Miller; daughter, Sarah Schwartz; brothers, Christ, John, and Joe Miller; and sisters, Emma, Edna, and Amanda Miller and Mary Stutzman.

Services were held March 5, at the Christ Miller residence, with Bishop Leroy Yoder officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County.
