FAFSA workshop set for April 20
The University of Akron Wayne College is hosting a workshop to help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The FAFSA is the federal application that is required to receive federal financial aid, including the Federal Pell Grant and student loans as well as the need-based state grants. Studies show that a student is 50 percent more likely to attend college when they complete the FAFSA.
While walk-ins are welcome, families are encouraged to register in advance for this free workshop April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon. The workshop will be held in Computer Lab A225, Main building, 1901 Smucker Road, Orrville. Register by calling the Wayne College student services office at 330-684-8942.
