Harry was born Nov. 10, 1926, in Wayne County, the son of the late Benjamin Silver and Bertha Edna Mykrantz. He married Rachel M. Sper on Sept. 26, 1998, and she survives. He married his first wife, Mary Annetta Stults, on Dec. 18, 1955, and she preceded him in death in 1997.
Harry was a Jersey farmer all his life. He was a member of Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, a 48-year member of the Wayne County Fair Board, a 50-year member of West Salem Masonic Lodge 398, and a member of the Tadmor Shrine.
In addition to his wife, Rachel, Harry is survived by his children, Stuart (Cindy) Mykrantz of Wooster, Rita (Tom) Trivette of Hoover, Ala., Jon (Christine) Mykrantz of Wooster, and Rex (Diane) Mykrantz of Hilliard; daughter-in-law, Anita Mykrantz of Wooster; stepchildren, Louise Henry of Chardon and Stefanie (Allen) Wass of Hudson; grandchildren, Hallie Beth, Andy, Meg, Katie, Jessica, and Sara Mykrantz, Thad Boughton, Rachel Henry, and Emily and Julia Wass; brother, Thomas (Elsie) Mykrantz of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Mykrantz.
Memorial services will be held March 29, at 11 a.m., at Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, Wooster, with Revs. H. George Myers and Robin Dillon officiating. Burial will be in Warner Pioneer Cemetery. Friends will be received March 28, from 5-8 p.m., at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, Wooster.
