Sowing Hope is an outreach of Wooster Grace that has been helping families in the downtown area of Wooster since 2006. This work relies on volunteers who give their time to coach, mentor, teach, help with material needs, and advocate on behalf of adults and children who need help in our community.

Wooster Grace has rented a house next to the Towers on South Street (329 South Street) and this house has become a hub for several activities, including a Homework Club that helps children with school work and life skills. Other seasonal activities are day camps, free counseling, art and coffee house, etc. All of these help bring joy and healing into the lives of people who are struggling in several areas of life.

On May 18, at 6 p.m., a community celebration will be held to dedicate the Sowing Hope House. Some of the key volunteers who helped start this outreach and renovate the home will be there. Families who have received and are now giving back will also be there. The evening will end with pizza for everyone as a way of saying thanks to all of the friends from downtown Wooster who have let Sowing Hope House come into their lives in some way.
