David Wagner

David Roy Wagner, 86, of Wooster, died May 5, 2012, at the Wayne County Care Center.

David was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Holmesville, the son of the late William I. and Ella Cameron Wagner, and married Mercedes “Cedy” Kramer on May 26, 1951. She died in 2005.

He had worked for the Orrville Milk Company for 35 years, retiring in 1982, and served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a beloved uncle who enjoyed fishing, art, and his love of life, friends, and family.

Surviving are nieces and nephews and his fishing buddies, Sonny Ott and Denzil Lorson.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim; brothers, Kenneth and Clayton Wagner; and sister, Ruth Burkey.

Services will be held May 10, at 1 p.m., at McIntire, Bradham & Sleek Funeral Home, Wooster, with Rev. Kenneth Anderson officiating. Inurnment of ashes will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
