Local youth to attend Buckeye Boys State

Adam Barnard

Six young men from the junior class of Wooster High School will be attending Ohio’s 76th year of Buckeye Boys State at Bowling Green State University from June 10-17.

On the basis of recommendations by their teachers, Adam Barnard, Evan Barnard, Sawyer Dilyard, Gregory Hessler, Charlie Reynolds, and Oliver Warren were selected by a committee of the American Legion Post 68 in Wooster. These young men will be among 1,300 others from throughout Ohio who will participate in an eight-day hands-on experience in the operation of city, county, and state governments within the two-party system. Buckeye Boys State is the largest such program in the nation.
