Help Grizz get special care

Grizz was severely malnourished, underweight and heartworm positive when he arrived at the Dog Warden's Department. He is going to a rescue that will give him the care he needs to get better. Donations are sought to help pay for his care.

Grizz is a 2-year-old Bulldog mix who came to the Holmes County Dog Warden's Department in pretty bad shape. He was severely malnourished and underweight. He is headed to Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue in Westfield, New York. He is in need of special veterinary care because he is heartworm positive. When it is all said and done, the rescue will incur more than $4,000 in medical bills to get this boy healthy enough to put him up for adoption and get him into the home that he deserves.
A group from 4-H, the Prairie Partners out of Holmesville, came and visited Grizz. They made a donation to the facility to help the dogs awaiting homes. Grizz loved all the kids and the attention they gave him. He is a good dog and needs all the help he can get.
A fund has been set up at the department for donations for Grizz that will be forwarded to the rescue that will be taking him to help offset some of the very large medical bills. Call the office to find out how to donate at 330-674-6301.
