Auction and Harvest Fest is Sept. 23

The main auction will begin at noon and include a pink outdoor play house.

Longenecker Mennonite Church, 2200 Township Road 606, near Winesburg, will host its annual Auction and Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 23. The public is invited. Bring a lawn chair.
 
The events scheduled will include an all-you-can-eat breakfast of pancake and sausage, sausage gravy with biscuits, and corn mush from 7-10 a.m.
 
The car show will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in various categories and Best of Show.
 
The Children’s Auction, which will include items for children and bidding by children with a parent, will be at 10:30 a.m.
 
A lunch stand will feature homemade ham and bean soup with corn bread, homemade chicken and noodles, and burgers and fries. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
 
The main auction will begin at noon and include a pink outdoor play house, a crossbow, a load of firewood, a play kitchen set (refrigerator, sink and cupboard), a blue adirondack chair and side table, a poly corn hole set, an office chair, various home décor items, tools, a fishing trip to Lake Erie and many more items.
 
Other activities will include the raffle drawing at 3 p.m. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
 
There also will be homemade ice cream, apple dumplings, a bake sale and a children's play area.
 
All proceeds from this festival will benefit the Longenecker building fund and a local family in need.
